About Sheffield’s ‘Snakebite Korfball Club’!!
Snakebite Korfball Club is the brainchild of Alice ‘Gnome’ Fairhall, Paisley ‘Chump’ Spink, Lisa Campbell and Amy ‘Ar-Kid’ Dickens. The first Snakebite training session took place in October 2004 in a tiny sports hall in Crosspool. There were just four members and barely two pennies that could be rubbed together to buy equipment or kit, let alone pay for hall hire!
Since these early days the club has flourished and by the 2007/2008 season had grown to three senior teams and a junior squad (though is still rubbing two pennies together!). There is currently one team registered with the CEKL and one YKL registered team. We are also involved with the running and training of Steel City Junior Korfball Club
